Convention Chaos - a brokered convention would be horrible!
I'm not a convention junkie, but Ed Kilgore is and he offers a Convention Chaos Theory. He says that it would be virtually disastrous for the Democrats to have a brokered convention. Basically, the convention would lack clear leadership and it would probably be a nasty, nasty fight between the two parties. Even simple things like passing the platform could be a massive ordeal. Almost certainly the party would be pulled apart over a fight over speakers and speaking schedules. We may not get there, but if we do, we can hand the keys to the White House to the Republicans.
