Brother Update
My brother and sister in-law are out of Houston. They made it out on Thursday with little trouble. They packed their little Daewoo Lanos hatchback and took off. I thought they were heading to Austin, but instead they went to Lafayette, LA to a friend of theirs parent's home. After looking at some projected Hurricane Rita path maps, I'm not sure that this is the best place to be - Louisiana looks like it's going to get hit pretty hard again. But they're safe and with a veteran hurricane family in a veteran hurricane home.
