If you remember Barack Obama's 2004 Democratic National Convention speech (iTunes needed), you'll remember that Barack means blessed.With the recent flair up regarding McCain's private life, Ben Smith over at Politico had this to say:
For what it's worth, my first thought upon reading this was: "Blair Hull" and "Jack Ryan." In addition to being a phenomenally talented politician, is it possible that Obama's the luckiest man in the history of civilization?
Blair Hull was going to win the 2004 Democratic Senatorial primary, until it came it out that he beat his wife. Jack Ryan appeared headed to win the 2004 Illinois Senatorial seat until his wife made allegations that he forced her to go to a swing club.
