Friday Prayer Blogging - State of the Union edition
At the risk of bringing too much partisanship into the Friday Prayer blogging section, I think President Bush brought up many topics that are especially important for prayer. Democrats and Republicans will disagree on the exact method for solving these problems, but all Christians know that none of these topics will be fixed without his guidance.I invited you to pick one or two of the following topics and really pray through them. Spend 3-5 minutes of pray on these topics. Ask God for wisdom on our leaders. Ask for guidance for scriptural basis for policy ideas. Ask that human suffering would be lessened. Ask that humans would do a better job taking care of the environment. Ask for whatever you think is appropriate, but make sure to ask.
