The End of the Spear could be a parable?

Apparently there is a controversy I'm completely unaware of. This hurts. I read like 40 newspapers and 60 blogs a day. I should see these things coming. Somehow I didn't.

The producers and directors of the new movie "The End of the Spear" hired an openly gay man to play the lead role. According to IMDB, "'End of the Spear' is the story of Mincayani, a Waorani tribesman from the jungles of Ecuador. When five young missionaries, among them Jim Elliot and Nate Saint, are speared to death by the Waorani in 1956, a series of events unfold to change the lives of not only the slain missionaries' families, but also Mincayani and his people."

Tim Challies is worried that the lead actor will use his new platform to preach against the Gospel. However, the Internet Monk thinks the entire controvery is so good it ought to be a parable.

I agree with the Monk.
