New York Times does little to help liberal cause with their non-story story

On Wednesday I got a little excited over the prospect of John McCain having an inappropriate affair and then giving her special favors. Turns out that the article is high on innuendo and very low on actual facts. In fact, the non-story has given conservatives something they don't normally have...a warm feeling about John McCain. And they opened their pocketbooks too. According to this story, "McCain’s campaign announced Friday afternoon that it had just recorded its single-best 24 hours in online fund-raising, although it declined to provide numbers."

The New York Times has not been at the top of the newspaper industry for quite some time, but can we start to take what they say as a little less Gospel and a little more like we do all other media...with a grain of salt?
