Dobson to McCain - I don't want to get stuck with you

In possibly the most important article about the Republican '08 presidential campaign, James Dobson has declared he won't support McCain's "presidential bid under any circumstances."

I really don't have any analysis of this right now. It would appear that the Republican Party is headed for a split - either McCain or Dobson. Considering that McCain is considered an almost sure lock for the Republican nomination, does that mean he will run without the support of the Religious Right? or does that mean that Dobson is getting out of Republican politics? Either way, a divided Republican house cannot stand. For Democrats, this is music to their ears.
