Where do you stay on holiday? With or without porn?

The Christian Science Monitor has a very interesting article about CleanHotels.com. The purpose of CleanHotels.com is to "'point out the fact that there are thousands and thousands of hotels that do not offer in-room pornography.' The strategy, Mr. Burress says, is to expose hotels that offer pay-per-view porn and let the market take care of the rest."

I remember the first time I saw porn on a hotel room tv. I was 9 or 10 and in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for a baseball tournament. One of my teammates came in and told me that I should watch channel 99 when my parents were gone. I did and I was plenty surprised to see a woman astride a man screaming and moaning. I quickly turned it off. I didn't know exactly what I was looking at, but I knew my parents wouldn't have been pleased. I don't think I was ruined for life, but I probably didn't need to see that either.

What I really like about this group is that they are offering not only a "name and shame" technique, but also a very easy searchable database to find the CleanHotels. Next time you take your family on vacation, go check 'em out.
