I know, I have to wait three more weeks, but....

`Da Vinci Code' Takes in $77 Mln, Exceeding Estimates

Yes, Expat's prediction was: "By week 4, The Da Vinci Code won't be in the top 5 movies."

and maybe so many people going the first weekend will mean not as many go after that and therefore Expat will be right, but it's certainly tough to see how a film that has the second biggest grossing opening weekend worldwide in the history of movies won't end up being "commercially successful".

Next week X-Men will be there, so Da Vinci probably drops to second. Week after that you really only get the Jennifer Aniston-Vince Vaughn comedy "The Break Up". And in that all important week 4, you get the new Disney film "Cars". Looking further into June you have another Fast and the Furious, a sappy love story with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves (and sadly, no bus), a Jack Black comedy, an Adam Sandler comedy, and then right at the end of the month you get Merryl Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada" and then the newest Superman movie. I'm not sure the Da Vinci code won't stay in the top five until at least July based on all that.
