A Thought in the Car
The nature of our laws are not the same as those laws handed down by God. Our laws - because we are a democracy, or something like it - reflect the hearts of the people, whereas God's laws reflect His heart for his people. Therefore, the passing of laws and amendments to prevent - in reality, make illegal, for law does not prevent behavior, but categorizes it as acceptable or unacceptable - will ultimately miss its intended mark. It is the hearts and minds of the people - and not the laws - that must be changed if we are to see a more godly nation.
