A gorilla, hermeneutics and a laugh
If you aren't visiting slacktivist on a regular occasion, shame on you. His hermeneutical analysis of an old joke involving a gorilla, a bar and $9 is well worth you time. Be warned, if you are drinking milk while reading thie post, it will exit through your nose.Calling for any other interpretations. Any Calvinists out there who want to explain why the bartender is not one of the elect? How about a good Jesus Seminar analysis? Any women want to offer a solid feminist exposition of who the gorilla really is?
