Brown and Blair both support aid for Africa. Where's Bush?

Both Gordon Brown and Tony Blair have both publicly declared their support for helping African nations by relieving them of debt and by giving stronger and better aid. Sounds like MakePovertyHistory has gotten to them. They have a simple request:
In 9 words... TRADE JUSTICE. DROP THE DEBT. MOREĀ AND BETTER AID.

Next Friday's is a meeting of the G7 finance minister. They plan to discuss debt relief and development issues. The United States Secretary of the Treasury will be there. So far, the USA has been very quiet on this subject. With America and its large economy behind this initiative, the chance to save 150,000 children a month would have a much better chance. If you haven't already done so, write the President or your Congressperson. If you have done that already, why not begin your own blog and get others to read it? Why not ask your pastor why he isn't talking about debt relief and concern for others from the pulpit? It might simply be that no one has ever said anything. Letting people die because of grinding overwhelming poverty is a sin. Do you want to be guilty by omission?
