What real leadership looks like

Compare the folowing responses to failure:

UN chief Annan assumes responsibility for oil-for-food scandal

White House Shifts Blame to State and Local Officials

Now remember that Annan inherited the Oil for Food program from his predecessor, but assumes all the responsibility anyway.

Compare that with Bush whose failure was totally his making by appointing a lawyer fired from running horse shows to run FEMA. The closest we get to accepting responsibility is Bush's statement that the initial response to the Hurricane was totally unacceptable.

What is totally unacceptable is Bush not accepting responsibility for his personal failures to show leadership on Katrina and instead slamming local officials.

Is there a www.draftKofi2008.com movement starting somewhere?
