If one was cynical...
I came across this story about the lowering of the "threat level" for the inaugration and have yet to decide if I'm cynical. If I am, then it appears that the warning system flags are simply political tools to keep the current administration in power. If I'm not, then it appears that the Department of Homeland Security is completely inept.Either way, if Al-Qaeda isn't planning on attacking during the inauguration are they really to be feared like we thought? What better time then when the President, Vice-President, the entire Supreme Court and many high-ranking officials are all gathered together. I'm no terrorist, but clearly this is an optimum target.
