Five Years On
Five Years OnOnce upon a time there were many people who believed to the very core of their being that the world was flat. They knew that there was a great deal of evidence that the world was round, they heard knowledgeable people explain why the world could not be flat, they knew that the reasons they had been told all their lives that the world is flat were no longer reliable, but they felt so much better continuing to insist that the world was flat that they just decided to keep on believing it no matter how sad and silly it made them look and sound. Perhaps someday, even George W. Bush will quietly whisper to his tablemate over dinner in his senior care facility that maybe, just maybe, the world might be round after all?
