What makes Obama and Clinton people so sure of each's electability in a general election?

Over at The Fix, Cillizza has declared that Obama is putting the move on Clinton in Iowa and ultimately the general election.

In the comments, both sides go at each other proclaiming that their candidate can win the general election, but the other can not. I've already hit on some of Clinton's biggest weaknesses and I think Obama's are obvious. His lack of experience in government and leading. If Obama wins the nomination, Republicans will quickly jump on the need for change bandwagon and then hit Obama with his inability to pull it off because he lacks experience.

Any Clinton or Obama supporters out there that think only their candidate can win the general election?
