The Obama-Brownback Freedom to Be a Fan Act of 2007

Kevin Drum proposes the fictious Obama-Brownback Freedom to Be a Fan Act of 2007 to allow megachurches to show the Super Bowl. Apparently, megachurches across the nation are being forced to cancel their Super Bowl parties for fear of violating a federal copyright law that prohibits public venues from showing NFL games on big-screen TVs.

So let's hear it for some bipartisanship and some NFL fans everywhere. Free the churches to show the Super Bowl!

ps. I'm feeling a little better. I am even thinking about taking the recycling to the curb later. I'm gutted that I missed Governor Richardson speech this morning, though.
